Simple Sauteed Kohlrabi

A super yummy and easy way to make 
Kohlrabi.  This recipe can be served over braising mix or as a side dish.

Serves 2 to 4

2 medium Kohlrabi Bulb
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 cup Butter or Oil
1 medium Onion, diced
1 clove garlic minced/pressed
2 Tablespoons chopped Thyme, chives, or sage

1.  Mix kohlrabi and salt in a colander and let stand for 30 minutes to drain.
2.  Warm Butter in a skillet over medium heat.  Add onion, and saute until translucent.  Add Garlic and saute.
3.  Stir in the Kohlrabi.  Reduce heat to low, cover and cook x 10 minutes.
4.  Increase heat to medium and uncover, cooking for 2 more minutes.  Remove from heat, stirring in fresh herbs.  Let stand 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
